Paddy Eason is a UK-based film maker and visual effects supervisor with a 25 year track record in features, commercials and high end TV. In his VFX role he has garnered 3 BAFTA (British Academy Award) nominations, and has worked in a key role for directors such as Tim Burton, Nick Park and Stanley Kubrick. Eason has also branched out into writing and producing, with a couple of short films and one extremely strange, but well reviewed and profitable feature under his belt.
Northwest Regional Emmy Nominated and Winner of Seagate’s “Best Comes From Within” contest, filmmaker Brice Habeger produces stories with a balance of authenticity and ingenuity. Buzz-words for his search for truth in storytelling and creating a better frame. His work takes him to every corner of Alaska and beyond, working on productions of both large and small-scale.
In 2019, 1 of 50 filmmakers worldwide selected to participate, Habeger’s submission to the “Best Comes from Within” video contest was chosen as the Grand Prize Winner by David Beebe, Emmy-award and Cannes Lion-winning advertising content expert.
Habeger’s diverse portfolio includes production work for corporate and non-profit, such as American Express, U.S. Census Bureau, Chevron, SAMHSA, and Alaskan clients. His documentary work includes affiliations with Grammy-winning rock bank Portugal. The Man and National Geographic.
His films have appeared in U.S. and international film festivals, including the Northwest Regional Emmy®-nominated documentary Swift Water Place, which aired on PBS stations nationwide and is available on Amazon Prime.
His professional on-set credits include camera departments on commercials for brands such as Michelin, Kiehl’s, Wall Street Journal, Trident, Verizon, Volkswagen, and others.
Holly Mititquq Nordlum is an Alaskan Native Iñupiaq (Inuit) Artist and Activist. Holly grew up in and outside the northern village of Kotzebue, Alaska. Nordlum’s work varies in medium but all in attempts to call attention, educate or celebrate the lives of her Indigenous people. Her traditional tattoo work is a no-machine process which facilitates healing from the traumas of colonization… with traditional patterns combined with in-depth sessions she can foster real change in each individual. And in the end create community in the markings left behind. Her public artwork also educates the Alaskan population about the still surviving tribes of Alaska: their stories, histories and celebrations. Holly talks publicly about the systems that continue to colonize her people and keep them from thriving.
Don Rearden grew up in southwestern Alaska. He is the author of the critically acclaimed novel, The Raven’s Gift (Penguin) a Washington Post Notable Selection for Fiction. In his review of the novel, Michael Dirda of The Washington Post called Rearden, “a master of the cliffhanger.” Rearden is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Writing at the University of Alaska Anchorage.
A novelist, screenwriter, and poet, recent honors include an Alaska Literary Prize, a Contributions to Alaska Literacy Award, two Rasmuson Project Awards for screenwriting, a University of Alaska Innovate Award, and the Anchorage Reads Novel of the Year. He co-authored the best-selling memoir Never Quit (St. Martins) and Warrior’s Creed (St. Martins). His latest, a book of poetry, Without a Paddle, will be released late 2020. Rearden lives in an undisclosed mountain location with his wife, two kids, and an abundance of ravens and bears.

Whether flying a drone in the subzero arctic temperatures filming an Inupiat whale hunt, or making the best use of unobtrusive handheld work to find small grace notes amongst school children in a Nepalese village. Zak’s quiet framing creates transcendent, timeless images that augment production value on every project with which he is involved.
